Hi!!

I'm fine! Before anyone asks :) A good sleep, aspirin, antibiotics and fucktonnes of food will do that for you. And I've been lying down for a week now, and it's boring, so no more lying down. Even if sitting here isn't the most comfortable thing in the entire world.

As for what happened, Peter explained it very well. I have never dealt with that kind of violence before (well...not counting the Templar which was much less random and much more ow). Not aimed at me. It was so strange. I kept wanting to say, 'I'm not gay, I'm not gay' but not only did that feel like denying love for my husband which I will never do no matter the circumstance, but they did have evidence that I am in a gay relationship and that was what they were taking undue offense to. I don't think they'd give a damn that I have a wife too... But to be called those things...to see my husband called those things. And to be threatened simply for loving him...it was absurd and disgusting and I felt so dirty inside. But I do know they were the ones in the wrong. And my Spectre saved my life. And then little Mara saved it again. They're just the most incredible siblings ever, aren't they?!

Speaking of Mara...and Templar...she says when she was out searching for us, she came upon a priest who knew Spectre's name. And he was quite insistent that he help her find Spectre. Mara said he felt 'wrong' and she stomped on his foot and ran away. It sounds like Templar to me. So there's a very good chance that the Templar know Spectre has a little sister. Extra care, might just be a good idea?

Despite everything? I'm doing very well. I'm happy to be home. I even sent Dragomir a thank you note for his fruitbasket. Sure it said, "Thank you for remembering us!" but I think a little cheek is allowed, eh?

I'm so glad you're okay, Thomas. Everything I've heard... it sounds like the most horrible experience. It must have been so scary to be the victim of random violence. With the Templar, we always knew what was going on. They're evil, but in a perverse kind of way, you can get evil. This is just... stupid. They're the ones who are disgusting and dirty, not you. You're an amazing, loving man, and you more than deserve to be able to go out with your husband and have a good time, without fearing that you're going to be victimised by some terrible people with a gun. It completely sucks.

I love that little Mara has made herself such a hero in all this, though. I'm so proud of her. Good on her for kicking that Templar's arse, if he was one. That'll teach him to mess with little girls.

Thank you for saying that, Tasha. I know it, but it's always good to be reminded. It was different from the Templar. They're disgusting in their own way. They are doing what they think is right. It's methodical and it's done to people they feel deserve it. To save them. And while they're wrong, I highly doubt these fuckers were trying to save me from the firey pits of hell...I think they were trying to send me there instead. I do know, however, that anywhere I go with Spectre, I'm safe. He more than proved that.

I fucking hope whomever it was doesn't mess with little girls....

I heard Spectre did some rather impressive work saving you. He's an amazing man. Which is of course, exactly what you deserve! There's nothing the two of you need to be saved from, except for crazy, misguided people. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by people who know better. I know life could be very hard for me and Hope, otherwise. I'm really, really thankful to have friends and family like you.

Taller than Mara is pretty good. I think it should have at least been taller than Spectre, though. Sometimes it's funny watching Dragomir try to help, but it's not funny when he locks you up and you're not made like calamari any more.

I'm so sorry you had to experience what happened to us the other night, Thomas. I know it's not my fault, and I am absolutely not ashamed of anything. I'm proud of us. But I am sorry you went through it. With friends and family like ours, sometimes one can almost forget that this still isn't an easy world to be gay in. I suppose reminders like this keep us vigilant, and show us that there's still a great deal of bigotry to fight against. I know I'm not going to stop fighting for a better world.

Thomas, I just want to say how proud I am of you. For being brave in the face of those men, and afterwards when we were locked up. You never gave an inch. You showed what an incredible man you are. I love you so much. I'll never forget how amazing you were, and are.

Wonderful to hear, Thomas. I'm not going to let anyone make me afraid to kiss you in public either, or declare to the world how much I love and adore you. We do have that right. We have the right to love, and to be loved. I will face anything, and overcome it to have that with you. You do speak the truth, however; cuddling in bed is the far more enjoyable option.
