I'm starving to death, I'm exhausted, I spend all my time changing diapers or reading books or playing games, and I'm so happy. James and I have now managed to classify every single plastic dinosaur he owns by era and species, and Marie and I play the cutest little kicking game. And she likes to make faces at me!! Mostly scrunchy, adorable, bestfaceever faces! And for lunch James and I made sandwich angels which was a sandwich with a cookie cutter angel shape and then he ate the insides and Mara ate the outsides, and then they swapped and I would have eaten one too, but then Marie was awake and now I'm spending my time here instead of doing anything else because James is running around and around my chair, squealing. Mara's chasing him, because they're playing Dogs and Cats, and Mara is a dog and James is a cat. A cat what squeals.

Angels schmangels, this is happiness!!

Have you been saving them up? Can I rip them off you? Not presently, of course...

I just love that they asked me to be a gorilla. I'll remind them of it when they're older. Maybe then will be when I can play!! And yes, James might do. His mother was tall too. But you'll always be his rockstar daddy, taller or no.

Oh, Spectre. Considering the reaction you just caused by saying it, I would venture that would be a resounding no.

How I adore you. Baby, you hardly need platform boots for him to look up to you. You just have to be yourself for that.

Honey? I have no doubt that you will. If I did, even a little bit, I wouldn't have wanted children with you, instead being content to just be married without kids. I suffered from not having a strong father figure...or one at all, and though my childhood was still wonderful, I would never put a child in a situation with someone I believed wouldn't be up to the challenge. Because I know how it goes when someone isn't. And I also know the same goes for you. You'll be brilliant. We'll be brilliant.

Poor trousersnake! I'll have to do something to make it feel more at ease. Well... more like at attention, actually...

It makes me so happy and proud to know that you feel that way, Thomas. You're right, it's the same for me. I want our children to grow up in a safe, stable and loving environment, and I know with absolute certainty that you can provide that. We both know what the alternative is. I'm just so happy to be helping to give our children something better.
