Ah, yes, we definitely need to fill you in on that one. You remember Kali was on a mission with Saul and Ryn, to get to some awesome treasure before the Templar did? Well, actually, the first thing I should say is that Ryn didn't make it... we're not quite sure what happened, though Dad heard him die over the phone. We're sure it was the Templar.
But the skull... it's part of an angel, a terribly ancient one who was buried beneath Istanbul, back when it was Constantinople. Apparently he was on the Templar's side, but got disposed of by a group of supernaturals who didn't exactly agree with the way they were doing things. The Templar had been after him since, but Kali and the others got to him first, and dismembered him. It's important that he never get reassembled, and where better to keep the head than in the hospital, right? And I guess Dad is stuck with, uh... supervising him.
